PROTEIN SMOOTHIE


Ingredients
· 1-2 cups of soy or rice milk (non-dairy liquid base)

· 1 serving soy-based protein powder or ½ cup tofu

· banana (complex carbohydrate)

· frozen or fresh berries (contain bioflavenoids which increase vascular integrity, and vitamins, antioxidants)

· 1-2 Tbs. soy lecithin (improves metabolism of cholesterol to increase HDL, lower LDL,
lower overall cholesterol)

· 1 Tbs. essential fatty acid (fish oil, flax seed oil, evening primrose oil, etc.) This is important
for healthy heart, skin, and joints.

Mix all ingredients in a blender. You can be creative and add other nutritious foods such as
wheat germ or black strap molasses. Your vitamins and supplements can also be added (pour
powder from capsules).
